week 70

Bula Vinaka saka!
Well first off, yes you guys are correct, I am trying to do a better job at
not showing my frustration...I am working on it! Forgive me my family! I
will continue to work hard at it....Ether 12:27...one day it will become a
strength! I am sitting here with Tausiga and he says hi to you guys. Well
unfortunutely the computer is not working again with pictures, I am still
trying though. We had the two baptisms though. Ha that was weird, my writing
just went to Korean ha. I didn't even teach them but they were awesome!I
love  them. One of them, Luisa just ran up and hugged me. Ha it was awesome.
They were both like 9 or 10. It was good. My stomach this week was whack!
Its ok now. I Just drank a lot of coke. I had coka like crazy!!! It was the
worse I have had in my mission. Tuesday I didnt eat at all, juice and coke.
It's all good now though. My eating is still weird, I just dont want to eat
or I cant eat a lot haha. Boy, we loaded up on neckties this week too, we
got like 15 new ties. We had a lot of fall throughs this week, it was very
slow but the good thing is that Vilikesa came to church this week. Very
happy about that. Tamavua 1st ward is getting ready to split this year. They
had about 150-160 at sacrament Sunday and 76 priesthood holders. They are
moving very well and Samabula has split 5 times already. Work is moving! We
talked with a less active the other day and she was asking where the church
was in Fiji and we were telling her and she was amazed, its good! So I was
talking with Sister Solomone and I asked her about how I could learn the
piano. I have decided a goal I want to have when I get home is to learn how
to play the piano. Also, I have turned into Dad. I was thinking about
Christmas and my birthday and when I get home how I just want to buy books!
Gospel books that is, no other kind. That's definitely something I have
gained in my mission, enjoying reading. I am sorry this is a pretty short
email. We are setting Vilikesa for the 22nd for his baptism. Zone conference
is tomorrow. I am excited for that. Transfers will be this week too. I will
probably train again, I am ok with that though. All is well though, I am
almost finished with 3 Nephi in my Fijian Book of Mormon. I am in Alma in
the English one. I'm also reading Our Search for Happiness. That book is
awesome! I love it..Hope all is well there! Well, I have decided to set my
goal and theme in my life to 3 Nephi 12:48....This is how I want to design
my life or work toward. I dont know how to explain it. I think about this
scripture a lot. It needs to be all of our goals. Well love you guys!! Have

Bula Family...
Sorry I have pictures for you but the computer is whack today....Sounds like
things are busy! Man, I am sweating so bad right now. Sorry if this email
sounds lame when you read it! We went to the temple today and it was bomb as
always. This is the 3rd time I have gone in my mission. In Suva you usually
go every 3 or 4 months, I think. I was going through the session and
thinking about how obedient Christ was. Exact obedience and never complained
and just did it! That's how we need to be! Just be obedient! We all know we
will be much happier when we are. We can't cheat the system people!! Haha. I
am still about 200. Ha, I went to buy a new sulu today and usually I get a
36 but today I had to get a 38. Haha not good!! Man in the temple today... I
got a 36 pant and I had to suck in so bad to get them on! They were sooo
tight on me! Stomach is doing good. Its acting weird right now, but it's all
good.  The other day I threw up for the first time in I dont know how long!
Haha tooo much food!!! We made babakau which is like a scone bun type thing.
We ate a bunch of those and then went to an Elders Quorum activity after and
had dinner. One of the biggest plates full of chicken curry! I had a couple
bites left and my stomach was expanded more than it ever has been before. It
literally hurt to sit up or stand up or anything! Then a huge mistake, I
finished my juice really fast! I went outside and I was way hot and just
started to breathe and walk around then my head started going dizzy and I
knew at that time... I am going to throw up! Haha So I did. I didnt throw up
as much as I thought I would but yeah after that I was set. It was
definitely not healthy. I am never doing that again! Haha...my bad! So yeah,
we had a pretty good week. Sunday was rough. I'll explain that later.
Tuesday we had a combined district meeting. It was really good. One thing I
learned that all of us need to think about and do is that we need to repent
for the things we do wrong but we also need to repent for the right things
that we aren't doing. It was really good! We also worry so much about the
bad but we need to focus all the time on the good! There is also two sides,
Setani brings the bad side but we need to go to the good side! I had a
really good study in Alma 5 and 3 Nephi 24:7. Alma 5...it talks about how we
are invited to come unto Christ through repentance and be baptized and to
partake of the fruit of the tree of life. We have done that but sometimes we
go off track and because Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love us so much,
they invite us to "return" in 3 Nephi. We have come unto Him and now when we
are going down, we need to return unto Him, and even when we are doing the
right things, we still need to return unto Him in the next life. It was
really good. Billy and Vulaca are good. Vulaca was busy a lot last week but
we talked with Billy and he was telling us how he has seen a change in his
life and he feels it but Sunday was a very very very frustrating day! All he
needs to do is come to church every Sunday and he is set...nothing else! He
hasn't come in the past 2-3 weeks so we have kept pushing the date back so
now he cant be baptized on the 15th. I was so frustrated! Satan is working
hard with him! Literally every single weekend!!!! Something will come up
where he cant come! So Monday I studied about patience and a lot of
scriptures talked about if we are patient then we will have success so it
helped a lot. Another one was Wati who lives with members. Every Sunday hey
wheres Wati?? Oh she's at the house (Wati is their house girl). They know
very well she needs to come to church. Frustrating man!! Haha but patience!!
It will all be ok! The good thing for Sunday was that we got a new
investigator from Kiribati. I was praying for a new investigator and
especially for Tamavua 2 ward because that ward is struggling. Well, this
lady was sitting right behind us at church!! Yeah!! Her sister is a member
from Samabula. Ha it was sweet! Oh yeah one thing good about Vulaca. We were
teaching him about the Word of Wisdom. He agreed and he still drinks ti and
yagona a little. He was like wait...I only drink a little but it's still
bad!! 1 cup or 10 cups it's still ti!! Haha He understood it very well!! So
here's a fun fact...In this stake, the Fiji Suva North Stake...there are 40
missionaries serving from this stake. I think the highest ever. I thought
that was sweet! So I told you about Sis. Somica from Seaqaqa that passed
away. Well Bro. Somica called me the other day.  It was soo good to talk to
him! He said they have a picture of me and them up in their house. I love
that man!! His name is Joseph Smith too haha Josefa Somica. He's the man!!
SO yeah Tamavua 2, they used to be a big ward and now they are tiny!! They
don't do many activities. We have tried to talk and encourage them and
talked about ways to pick the ward up again. That's one thing in Fiji,
missionaries contribute a lot more than they should in the ward or branch. I
also had a few very good compliments this week too. I made up that language
study plan and the sisters loved it and said it has helped alot and they
said thank you for always supporting them and inspiring them and said I was
the Fiji Suva missions best district leader haha...Weird! Sisters
man....Also a recent convert, Eta who was just baptized a few weeks ago when
the Rotuma elders filled in. We were teaching her and then unfortuntely we
werent the ones who witnessed the baptism  but she is one of the best recent
converts I have seen!! She is amazing!! She has gone through quite a few of
missionaries and she said it wasn't until Elder Hansen came that it all made
sense. He came in and just like that! I was ready and firm from that time. I
was happy! We have gotten pretty close and especially with her husband
Matai...both of them. Matai was less active before. Matai didn't serve a
mission and she said ok we go! They are only in their 30s but she was like
yeah we will go! They are preparing to get sealed....We talked about
baptisms for the dead and patiarchal blessings yesterday. They themselves
were talking about it too! Haha it was sweet!! Every morning, they wake up
pray, read, pray and talk about the gospel. I was like man!! That is what I
want to do!! I was so happy when they were telling us all this. They are
awesome!! So yeah its been good! All is well here...Mission is the bomb!!

BUla Vinaka family!

Isa pops! Sounds like things went well. That's awesome! Mom way to do work!!

I am very proud of both of you! Sa! Cecil at Granger that's weird

haha...speaking of football, Im sitting here with my boy Tausiga (he is a young man from Bingham High). We picked him up today and are just chillin.

Haha funny story just happened. We were walking and this street girl with no

teeth just asked "hey kai evei"... like where are you from.  I was like kai viti! in

Fijian then said she no your from America! Then asked Tausiga and he said

Tonga and then she started swearing at him in Tongan and chased us in the

street and we hurried and ran into the computer shop!! It was intense! She

was yelling at us and started chasing us! Haha crazy man! Well this week has

been very long and dead! With the youth camp and the biggest festival in

Fiji, the Hibiscus just happened...everyone was gone!! The whole zone was

effected by it. The ZL's said...Absolutely everyone goes to the grounds and

stays there. Town is packed! So it sucked for us! Billy and Vulaca are doing

good, unfortunately they didn't come to church. Billy was ready and  about

to leave and then his wife asked him to stay and help with the kids. One of

the members said its ok the family is important to the church so he didn't

come, at least he was ready to go. He really enjoyed it last week. He's a

smart guy and he noticed how organized it was and loved the classes. We have

a date for Sept 15...I am excited! He's the man!! Vulaca we are also setting

for Sept 15 but we'll see. He was really busy this week and man, he had some

weird views about Adam and Eve!!! Thats one thing about being in such an

open religious country is you see what they believe and some are soooo off

track. It doesnt even come close to making sense. .  He's the man though! So

last week he lost his glasses and he can't read without his glasses so I was

praying for him to find his glasses. Honestly I felt weird praying for

something like that but then next day he found his old ones he hasnt worn

forever!!! Yeah!!! It was sweet!! Even if its small things like that

Heavenly Father will still help us!! SO yeah, the youth conference was

pretty good. All of Fiji was there. They had about 700, I think they said

was in attendance. I did get to see the Nasautoka gang! Soo happy!!! I cant

even explain! I was outside and they saw me. Two of the girls came up and I

had my back towards them and heard running footsteps and then they jump on

me! Ha-ha so fun!!! I was way happy!! First two things they say to me! Iko

sa levulevu sara ga! and matata sara na nomu vosa vakaviti...haha your fat

and your fijian is good! Haha it was way funny. I am really hoping I can

serve in Nausori again to see them. I am not sure if I have told you but a

village up there Nalidi. Elder Key and I would go up there to reactivate a

less active. A long with that we taught her mom a little bit. We got the

less active to come back to church and a couple months ago their whole

family got baptized!! They were all at the camp too!! It was awesome! Key

and I were the first ones to go up there. Yashko actually baptized them. It

was awesome to see they were all baptized! They walk about 2 hours every

Sunday. They just did a sevusevu the culture thing to open it up fully. They

are planing to start a unit out there now too....awesome!! We are covering

Wailoku again, so 3 wards..busy sara ga man! Rotuma elders went back on

Friday so we will cover it again...Hers sad news. A family from Seaqaqa, the

Somica's...they are recent converts and have been sealed and are very

strong. Their mom only has one leg and while I was there the other one

started going bad too. Well I just found out this past week, that two weeks

ago, she passed away. She was not old at all, no sure the actual cause of

death. It was sad man! She always had a smile and never complained once! Her

husband as well, he is one of the strongest men ive seen! That next Sunday,

I heard they were walking to church just like a normal Sunday and nothing

ever happened. Very strong members! It shows how they are truly converted,

such a weak branch like Seaqaqa and them living so far away, and now this,

and nothing changes, they still go to church...Its awesome! Seaqaqa is

starting to get going too. They just did a sevusevu in Dreketi. A few

members moved there so they were working there. Its awesome how much

Heavenly Father blesses you for being obedient and trying your hardest. The

Muirs always tell me about it when I see them and say see you started it.

It's awesome! It might not be right then, but one day we will see the

blessings. I had that feeling when I left, that in the next 2-3 years,

Seaqaqa will be totally different! Its slowly moving forward. Another good

story...you remember my two favorite people from Naduri? The

Raiwaluis...Shes an Indian and he's a Fijian. Well Bro Raiwalui was endowed

this week!! They are now sealed!!! Yeah!!! I was supposed to go with them

and we had it all planned out but then some guy at the temple said no, even

though President Klingler, said yes! I was a little upset, but it's all

good! They were shining and sooo happy!!! It was awesome! So good to see

them! I saw her and I was like Ma! I always called her Ma and she calls me

Shane haha. She ran up to me gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek then I

went over to Bro Raiwalui and hugged him...It was sweet! So Tamaqu, the

style of my teaching, I have noticed that I teach straight up and get to the

point type of thing. I try my best to apply directly to them. I feel like I

do pretty good at that. One thing I am working on is asking good inspired

questions. I can definitely work on my questions first! I feel like I do a

good job and making it simple so that the person can understand. The lack of

my big word vocabulary helps too!! English that is....Fijian doesnt have a

lot of big words like in English. Haha Fijians that know english doesnt even

know those big words either but yeah I feel like I do good at being bold and

straight up with the Spirit, if not the Spirit then it doesn't work when you

apply it to the investigator. So yeah its definitely improving. I love

teaching! I have really been focusing on little things in teaching too, like

body language, eyes, both us, as teachers and the investigators.  I can

easily tell if someone is not telling the truth or doesn't understand. It's

not hard to sense that. I am definitely not perfect. A couple of weeks ago I

talked about teaching and the way that Christ taught. I was like who is the

perfect teacher? Christ...Have we ever studied the way he teaches? I was

like he is the perfect example and we try to live like him, he is the

perfect teacher. So we should try to teach like him! Haha It was good. I

gave a whole training on Fijian last week, a lot of people dont speak Fijian

or dont have the desire or dont know how to study, so I did a training on

that. Most of it Fijian. The sisters dont really understand so I switched

off every now and then. I came up with a language study plan that we are

using for the district and I talked ith the ZL's and AP's and we are going

to use it as a zone study plan...Its just a basic thing that gives people

ideas what to do. I told President and he really liked the idea. So yeah

it's all good here! Hopefully we will have a better week, this next

week...We got a new investigator that seems legit too so we are excited!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEE!!!!!

Wow! That was an exciting email! I am sooo happy!! Cole man!! That is

awesome!! Thats like the 3 or 4 person that has been baptized since I have

been out! Thats awesome! The gospel is real and it is for absolutely

everyone!! What are you guys doing for Ashlee's bday? Better be good! Yeah I

dont know how its cold but its been way cold! Haha no worries about sending

anything. Things have been good here! Some great things happened this week.

I ate lamb neck the other day ha it was dang good! I learned 29 new words in

Fijian this week. It helps so much having a Fijian comp. I love it! He is

the man!! One of the pictures is with his family. They came from Kadavu

because there is a youth camp this week for all of Fiji. It's going to be a

party and its at the LDS college which is right down the street from our

flat! Haha I am excited to see all the people from Burewai and Seaqaqa.  So

we had dinner the other night with Bro Biutanaseva, he is the grandfather of

Mele, the girl we just baptized. It was really random and I dont know him

very well but he said that he is going to come to my wedding, ha random.  So

there is one person on the future list! haha....2 awesome things happened

this week! One, Billy who is that bomb soldier who has read all the Book of

Mormon already but the only thing that has stopped him from getting baptized

by now was church. Well he came to church yesterday!!!! It was awesome!!!

That made my day!!! So hopefully he can come consectively and then he will

be baptized! The second thing was Vulaca, that old guy from last week. We

had two awesome lessons with him this week!! We talked about the restoration

and Book of Mormon...Powerful lesson!! He is one of those guys who loves to

read the scriptures. So I was just sharing a lot of scriptures from the Book

of Mormon and he was like amen!! totoka!!! (beautiful!) Yes!!! Way happy and

he says it so clear and absolutely loves it!! I shared 3 Nephi 27:7-8 about

how if one builds a church that the church will be named after that man...I

explained about John Wesley and then with Christ and at first I was being

bold and was like uhh I hope he doenst get offended you know and then he

just started crying!! sa qai said totolo mai na noqu papitaiso ena

tabadromuci! I was like uhhh what!? He said fast my baptism! At first he

just wanted to be baptized by immersion but that lesson made it more like

baptize me fast by immerson because I know that this is true! It was

awesome!!! After the lesson Bro Kaitani was going crazy especially because

that was his first lesson like that and I was like yes that is missionary

work! We were just going crazy! So happy!! From the first time I met him I

have felt that true love for him! We had a another great lesson about

Jehovah and all that and he goes ohh!! Cala na noqu masu! Haha whoops! My

prayer is wrong! He just wants to learn and is so humble! I love it! It was

hilarious with him too!! So he is like 70 you know and he always works in

the teitei and he lives by himself. We are sitting and talking and he goes

wait wait...stands up...and says suasua mi, nearly came out!! Ran to the

bathroom! Haha sooo funny!!! Bro Kaitani and I were dying!!! suasua is wet

and mi is pee, kacabote sara ga na neirau dredre! So yeah it was awesome!!!

Those two were the main points of the week! We had a fireside last night

with the other Suva stake, a missionary fireside, it was really good. The

gospel is just amazing, absolutely amazing! I love it! I wish I was perfect

and didnt do stupid stuff but no one can be like that in this life except

Christ and I have used this scripture and thought about it alot this

week...3 Nephi 12:48. Every single time period...O.T. N.T. B.O.M. D&C, we

have been commanded to be PERFECT! Thats what we need to strive to do! SO I

am trying and I hope and pray that all of us are and we are doing all we can

to fulfill our own personal capacity! I love you all! I am going to get a

haircut! Kind of long hair....Well, Ash have a party! Love you guys...Good

luck pops at school!!  You know how grandpa always asked us how our gpas are

now he can do that to you! ok moce mada!

week 66

Bula Vinaka Family...Sounds like things are going good! Keep doing that

yoga! Well, transfers came and I am still here, with a ward missionary. He

is really good though so its not too bad. This week was ok, a lot of people

weren't home. But we can't change it. We got a new investigator, Vulaca. He

is 70 years old and wants to be baptized by immersion and wants to learn

about the church and stuff. He is an awesome guy, he talks a little too much

but it's all good. We had a sweet FHE for the YSA on Monday. It was about

goals and careers. It was sweet, then we played ping pong, haha so fun! It

was at an Australian members house. It was way fun. It has been freezing

here too! Every night and morning man! Two YSA's received their mission

call, one is going to Ghana, and one to England! Haha it was sweet! The one

going to Ghana, his brother is already in Johannesburg. First Fijian I have

ever heard go to England too. Is Travis London or another one? I can't

remember. We had another less active come to church Sunday. We have been

having a lot of success with Less actives lately! We also had a very good

lesson with Bui. We talked about the whole gay thing. She was very open and

said it's not right and all this stuff. I was having a hard time knowing how

to approach it and I was like ok I am just going to the scriptures. I just

started flipping through and saw one there. Ok Bingo was his namo! Then like

5 scriptures came in my head and just shared them one by one and it was sooo

powerful! Especially the one in Mosiah 4:33, maybe, the last verse in Fijian

was worded perfectly! It was really teaching what she needed to learn. It

was hard, but awesome lesson to teach! She felt comforted and knew what she

need to do. I was happy with it! All is well here. I have 2 more sisters in

my district now, so there's 4! The 2, last week, got in a huge fight, haha

drama man! We are now split from Wailoku and so we dont have to worry about

scheduling lessons with them so we can just focus on our work. All is well,

Estill was made AP this transfer as well. People were surprised nothing

happened with me. They thought I was going up to ZL, haha I don't really

care, I just do! I might even train again in September!I would be ok with

that. I like helping the new guys especially with Fijian. Yeah all is good

here, I am set with everything, no worries! Just the only thing, if you want

to put more money in my account every now and then because I will be

spending some dough for sure! Especially when I am about to leave! Haha,

Thats the only thing though! Well, I love you all!! Keep moving forward!!

week 65

Bula Vinaka kemudou na wekaqu lomani! Bear Lake is sweet! I havent been

there forever! There was an elder who just went home in April from there.
Well things are still crazy here doing things for the AP's and all that.
There was an emergency transfer. Elder Ruben who was with us went home on
medical leave (he just lives in Suva). He is not released, just a few weeks
to focus on his legs to get better and then come back. Well, Elder Tremea is
his replacement. I am with the Wailoku elders until Wednesday then I get
another ward missionary from Kadavu. It was weird and we both were not
happy!!! I don't understand why they did it like this, there are plenty of
other good ways to do it but its for a reason and we cant change it so you
just have to deal with it! I have been doing everything pretty much by
myself the past few days so we'll see what happens. The legit transfers
should come in this week. It's weird, Elder Tremea called me and I asked him
how it was going and he said uhhh I dont know how it is going, hahaha so
funny. My 2 sons are all grown up now! They grow up so fast! hehehe. Well
had an ok week though this week. It was an up and down week, we didnt meet
our goals at all this week, people not coming to church, they promise us

they will and dont show up...soo frustrating!! Prayers definitely have been

answered though, that's for sure! We have been praying last week and this

week alot for new investigators and trying to figure out what to do with

this whole gay situation. Well this week we got 7 new investigators!!! Sulu,
one of the girls we baptized, her family now wants to take lessons! Her mom
is awesome too, way nice so we will start teaching them this week. We also
got a young couple.  We went to go see another investigator and they were
just there. It was sweet! Also, Bui (gay person) called one of the members

saying she wants to take lessons again, we havnt seen her in a couple weeks.

Come to find out, her "partner" left and Bui just said she wants to change
and not be like that anymore and she feels that is holding her back in

life...it was sweet!! She still needs to go through an interview with
President but it's one huge step closer! It was awesome! We also had 3 less

actives come back! We have been working with them for a few weeks.

Especially one, Brandon Chadra, we have seen him ever since we got here. He

came for the first time in a few years on Sunday! He said he wants to get

things right and serve a mission! Sunday, he was participating and all. His
mom also came who was less active. It was such a good feeling seeing him
back. He came up to me and just said "It feels good to be back!" I was soo

happy!!! We have had a lot of success with less actives lately...Its
amazing! I went on exchanges with Elder Trent, he is new, he came with

Tremea. He had a fijian comp but he doesnt do anything really to help him.
We talked and he was very frustrated. We had a great exchange. We did pure
fijian the whole time. Haha I made him do everything in lessons. He was so
happy...He was like man, I have not done any of that so far in 3 months and
that was fun. So I taught him ways to study and got him some things to study
in Fijian and so I hope I boosted his confidence in learning and what not.
It was a really good exchange. Billy our investigator who is done with

everything, almost done reading The Book of Mormon, did come to church!
Thats all he needs to do and something always happens that he cant come! The

other day, haha, it was so funny, his daughter called him to say we were
here and he said  "Yes! God is coming to meet Bill!" He said it in english

and he rarely ever speaks english and it was the funniest thing ever! He
just giggled after and it was hilarious! He said the first time he saw us,

he knew that God was with us. It was way cool. President in his email said
that I had a lot on my plate with everything but he is very proud of the way
I have handled it and my continued leadership and work here. I felt good,

One thing I have learned is what ever happens, you cant change it, but you

can change the way you act with it and what not. You just gotta roll with
what you got! It was a good email. We had a good combined district meeting
with the other Suva district. The Zone Leaders did the training and here's a

fun fact that is not very fun....15,000 members in Fiji, and only 5,000

active. A ton of less active work is needed here. They did a training on
real growth and on repentance with investigators. We are here to give them
an opportunity to repent and receive the celestial kingdom. Like marriage

for  instance, a lot of times we say "Oh they just need to be married and

they can be baptized." Well, have they met the requirements of repentance?

Really focusing on that, if they have showed a change of heart and not just

they know the answers to the baptism questions. IF we do this, it will more
much more effective and lower the less actives. It was really good and I am
going to give a training on teaching and apply this tomorrow. I am excited.

It really helped me to focus my teaching on them and helping them to change

in their heart. We can do that by the way to teach, really teaching people
and not lessons. It was good. Some great scriptures they used and I

recommend to look up and think about in our own lives...Helaman 15:7-8...D&C
18:11-15....D&C 138:19...It really helped me alot in my work and to fulfill
my purpose to help others to come unto Christ..Well how do we do that? How

do we help them to have faith and repent and so on? That's my goal for my
teaching this week. Really do always include Christ and His atonement a lot
too. So yeah. Well this has been a good week. I am really excited for this
next upcoming week. I hope all is well. Find time to read scriptures
everyday! They are powerful! They are real!! Love you all!! Sorry, I forgot

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM ON FRIDAY!!

I had to be sure that was the first thing I said!! How are things my family?
Congrats on the walk! Thats awesome! Dad I am suprised you didnt say
anything about me being 200 pounds! haha We went to the gym today for the
first time! It was sweet! We are going to go 3 times a week. I was dead so
fast! It was ridiculous! Its ok, the first time will be the hardest. I can
do it. Well things here are busy, we had a really weird week this week. It
was so hectic. We had leadership training on Wednesday. It was really good.
We talked about studies, doing all three...personal,comp,andlanguage.It was
really good! We talked about how we need to prepare ourselves to  have a
spiritual experience and how it doesnt just come by reading a few scriptures
and you're done. It was really good! We also lost one of our areas, Wailoku.
The Rotuma elders that were staying with us were suppose to go back but
there is a boat that goes once a month to Rotuma and takes food and all that
stuff. Well it didn't come this month so President didnt want them to go so
they put them in Wailoku. So we are just the two Tamavua wards. Elder Ruben
who was in Labasa when I was in Seaqaqa is hurt.  He collapsed both of his
arches so now he is staying with us (he gained too much weight! hahaha). We
have been doing his therapy with him. I had to rub his arches and give him
pain. Ha it was sweet! I taped his foot today too. So an Elder got food
poisoning the other day in my district and spent two days in the hospital.
So Elder Tremea went to his area and Ruben and I stayed in our area. We
found that out plus the Wailoku thing all in like ten minutes and it was
just hectic!!
Well it continues....Saturday! We had 2 baptisms!! Yeah! I baptized both of
them and actually 2 ward baptisms also. So that morning, the aunt of one of
them call me "Is Mele getting baptized today? I was like uhh yeah. Then she
went off about how she didn't know and they aren't ready and whatever.  We
have told you who knows how many times! We also gave them like 3 baptism
records to fill out and they never did. It was ridiculous! She was asking to
do it on another day and I was like what!  But then she said that they will
be there. Well, the next thing was the baptism font ( first one in a true
font). I forgot that we are responsible for the font! So I was freaking out
that we had to go fill up the font but wouldn't have enough time! Luckily,
it filled up fast! I am used to just going to a river and water is already
there! Bishop said that the ward would take care of the program and the 1st
counselor comes and asks me what is the program. The Bishop said you were
going to do it. SO we all know what that means....NO program was ready. Then
President and Sister Klingler show up! I was like ohh crap! This is going to
be embarrassing! The service was way sketch! No one knew what was going on.
We sang a closing song that a whole 3 people knew. It was the first and last
time I will let someone else plan a baptism! Hahaha I was so embarrassed!
The Klinglers didn't say anything though so it's done, the 4 people are
baptized! I confirmed one of them on Sunday and it was the first time I have
done it in Fijian so it was good. 2 and 3 baptism in like 7 months! Yeah! It
was good though! SO yeah it has been a crazy week for sure. Things are going
good!  My studies are going good, I am focusing on The Book of Mormon and
Jesus The Christ right now. District is going good, transfers are in 2 weeks
I think, maybe 3,not sure if I'll go or not. Tremea is the man! He is
learning very quickly, he is a great missionary! Well, have a good week!! I
bought some new garments today too. They are like 95 cents here, haha way
cheap! I bought some bigger ones hahaha. Well love you all! Mom, have a
great birthday!! Thank you very much for everything mother...You are the
woman! I will talk to you next week!!
